I looked deep into your blank stare

And when I did, I didn’t like what I found there

I listened hard to your shattering words

As they splintered in and out of my ear drums

Telling me who you are, is not who you were

Before. Before all of this

Telling me who you were, ceases to exist these days

My heart shifts and turns with every thought of this

Its constant weight is drowning me,

So much that I,

That I cant catch my breath

This morning you packed your bags, and you checked out

Out of this memory, out of this lifestyle

But as I am wondering around this empty house,

Your presents still surrounds me

and makes me feel that much more lonely

What will life be like 21 days from now.

I fantasize about it before I sleep

Hoping it will seep into my dreams

But my fear wakes me from dead sleep,

Worrying things will stay the same

We have burned all the bad memories,

And buried them deep into the earth

Hoping to never relive them again,
